Jamaica Inn

Jamaica Inn, set high on wild and delightful Bodmin Moor was made world-famous by Daphne du Maurier's tale of smugglers, rogues and wreckers. This historic work house has welcomed weary travellers crossing the moor for nearly three hundred years. Filled with legend, mystery, romance and even, consistent with lore, the odd friendly spirit.

The hotel continues to welcome guests to its 36 en suite bedrooms, ‘olde worlde’ bars with local ales and wines, its farm shop, gift shop and also the fascinating Smugglers’ depository where tales of wreckers, murderers and villains are brought splendidly to life!

Located adjacent to the A30 at Bolventor, midway between Launceston and Bodmin and close to the Cornwall and Devon border, it's the perfect base for exploring the moor and visiting anywhere in either county.
